About

I have always been a storyteller, and photographs are my primary means for doing so. A passion for documenting the lives and everyday moments of people originally drew me to photojournalism.  My job is to tell interesting stories about what happens in my community that go largely unheard. In all of my work I seek to capture a single image of a moment and scene which tells an entire story.

I am a staff photographer at the daily newspaper the Chattanooga Times Free Press in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  I began my career working as an intern photographer for the Advocate-Messenger in Danville, Kentucky, and I also worked as a staff photographer at the Texarkana Gazette in Texarkana, Texas.  My photographs have been nationally distributed with the Associated Press, and I am a contributing photographer to the international photo agency Corbis Images.  I have received awards from the National Press Photographer’s Association, the Kentucky News Photographer’s Association, and both the Texas and Tennessee Associated Press Managing Editors’ Associations.  I was featured for my work as an intern at the Advocate on www.SportsShooter.com.
